| I have been with the Christian Motorcyclist Association since '97. I got my colors in '99. We bought my XII in 2000 for my wife Kathy to ride. We cut another seat we bought down an awful lot and put on some shorter shocks. She rode the bike to Sturgis in 2000, then came home and stated she wanted to go back to her 1100 Virago. She just was not comfortable riding the Voyager. I had a 1999 Harley Ultra Classic. The XII just kinda sat there for this first year. I started having touble with the Harley and when it was in the shop I would ride the Voyager. Well, I finally sold the Harley in 2003 and started riding the Voyager full time. The more I rode it the better I liked it. In 2006 we took a trip to North Carolina to ride the Dragon. I bought a couple of dragon stickers to put on the fairing. I also bought a Dragon Slayer sticker and put it on the trunk lid. Istarted calling the bike that. Also, since I ride for the Son (CMA) do we not call Satan the Old Dragon. Hence the name Dragon Slayer has a double meaning. My original paint was faiding pretty bad and started to look pink in some places as a '96 will I understand. When I took the bike to be painted last year the painter saw the dragon stickers and suggested the air brush work on the bags. I wanted the name across the trunk. That is my story and I'm sticking to it!! |
